The History of Shana’s Bake Shoppe
 

Shana’s Bake Shoppe, formerly known as Gracene’s Cupcake Boutique, is a charming little bakery tucked away off the side of the road in Black Diamond, Washington.

The story began in 2012, when Gracene opened the Cupcake Boutique and poured her heart into every detail of the bakery—from the cozy atmosphere to the lovingly crafted treats. For over a decade, she built a loyal following through her passion and dedication. In 2024, Gracene retired and moved to Idaho, leaving her beloved shop in new hands.

That March, Shana and her father, Phil, took over the bakery. Shana had long dreamed of owning her own bake shop. With a true passion for baking and a remarkable talent for cake decorating, she brought new energy and creativity to the space while honoring its roots.

Tragically, in January 2025, Shana passed away unexpectedly. Her loss was deeply felt by her family, friends, and the entire community she had begun to touch through her work.

In her memory, Shana’s father has continued her dream, working alongside the staff to carry on her legacy and keep her spirit alive through the joy and warmth of Shana’s Bake Shoppe
